The Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC is a modular AC-coupled home battery system designed for homes with existing solar panel installations. The system is particularly suitable for retrofit projects where installers want to add energy storage without modifying existing PV cabling or inverters.
Thanks to its AC-coupled architecture, the SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC works directly with existing string inverters and microinverters. This means the solar panels do not need to be rewired and the existing PV installation remains intact. The home battery is connected on the AC side of the installation and can be combined with a compatible P1 meter for dynamic energy management and self-consumption optimization.
The system provides 2500W bidirectional AC power per unit. This allows the battery not only to store excess solar energy, but also to continuously supply power back to the home during periods of higher energy demand. The bypass power of up to 3680W ensures connected loads can remain powered directly without limiting grid power availability.
The base unit has a storage capacity of 2.52 kWh and can be expanded modularly up to 15.12 kWh per system with additional BP2500 battery modules. Multiple systems can also be connected in parallel for a total storage capacity of up to approximately 45 kWh, making the solution suitable for both smaller homes and larger residential installations.
For installers, the SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC offers a relatively straightforward installation via existing AC circuits and P1 integration. This creates a flexible solution for households that want to use more of their own solar energy, apply dynamic energy tariffs or prepare for future grid congestion and changes to net metering.
The SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC can also be integrated with various smart home platforms, including Homey. This allows installers to combine energy control with smart automations, dynamic energy tariffs and control based on energy consumption, solar production or presence.
The integrated LiFePO4 battery technology, multi-layer BMS protection, temperature detection and aerosol fire suppression provide a safe and long-lasting energy storage solution for residential applications.
