The Popp Z-Weather is a weather station with Z-Wave for measuring wind speed, humidity, light intensity, atmospheric pressure, outside temperature and dew point. The weather station is powered by a solar cell and operates on an internal capacitor.
Important when using the Z-Weather for the first time
Because the Z-Weather works on a solar cell and internal capacitor, the device must be fully charged. In direct sunlight it takes 4 – 6 hours and without direct sunlight it can take up to 12 hours to charge.
Built-in energy manager
Thanks to the intelligent energy management and the internal capacitor, the built-in energy manager automatically calculates the Wake Up interval. This is done between 5 minutes (on sunny days) and 1-2 hours on cloudy days, or at the beginning of the day. In addition, the energy manager protects the weather station against a complete discharge. It allows continuous operation for reporting gusts, storms or twilight in case of an emergency. In addition, the solar cell measures and calculates the energy supplied. The measurement is normalized to a 1 square meter solar panel and reported with 16% efficiency in kWh. To calculate the wind gain, every 8e rotation is counted and the total sum is reported as Impulse.
Practical application of the Z-Weather
By measuring the wind speed, your motorized outdoor sun protection can close automatically, for example drop-arm awnings, folding arm awnings, awnings, screens and shutters. By measuring the light intensity you can switch the outdoor lighting automatically. With the outside temperature you can automatically open the motorized outdoor blinds.
Thanks to Z-Weather you can trigger the closing of the awning and blinds by directly linked devices or scenes. Measurements of ambient light and solar gain can be used to turn the outdoor lighting on at dusk and off in the morning.

Feeder Tank
The feed tank has a large capacity of 4L, which is suitable for small and medium-sized pets. A 4-litre food tank is suitable for both cats and dogs up to 15 kg and can hold approximately 1.7 kg of animal food. This is one month of food for a 4 kg cat*. The feed tank keeps the feed fresh and dry. Desiccant is supplied as standard with the Pet Feeder C1.
