Connect a PC or other computer platform to the USB for a wireless Z-Wave network. The UZB works with controller software that is compatible with Silicon Labs Z-Wave Serial API (e.g. Z-Way); the controller software is required to use the functions of the device. The stick works with all certified Z-Wave devices, regardless of vendor or date of origin. The Silicon Labs Z-Wave Serial API specification is available to all Silicon Labs Z-Wave SDK owners.
UZB supports Z-Wave Security S2 and Smart Start technologies. UZB can be used in conjunction with Z-Way software (a license may be required) or any third-party software that uses Z-Wave Serial API. There are firmwares for static controller (for Z-Way and most third-party software) or bridge mode (for Z/IP).
