The Shelly RC Snubber is an energy absorbing circuit that can be used to suppress the voltage spikes caused by the inductive load on the circuit when a switch, electrical or mechanical, is opened.
A an inductive load is, for example, a coil. Coils are found in transformers, gas discharge fixtures (fluorescent), electric motors and relays.
Can be used for Shelly 1, 1PM and Shelly 2.5 for protection against overload when switching on, for example, fans, motors, tubular motors or other inductive loads which cause voltage peaks during switching on.
RC snubber must be connected between output and neutral of the circuit.
