The Audioflow is a smart zone switch for stereo speakers. By splitting the output of an amplifier (such as a Sonos Amp) into 2-3-4 channels, it is possible to share the same audio source to different zones in a cheaper way without purchasing additional amplifiers.
Point of attention is the impedance of the speakers and the specifications of the sound source.
Most amplifiers such as Sonos Amp, BlueSound amplifiers, etc, can be used with a minimum of 4 Ohm. An example: The Audioflow is extremely suitable for combining a Sonos Amp with Sonance speakers which have an impedance of 8 Ohm and where the Sonos Amp at 4 Ohm can go up to 250 watts. If you place 2 sets of 8 Ohm Sonance speakers in parallel, the impedance will halve (to 4 Ohm). With the 3 and 4-way variants you place another stereo speaker (set) in series with these parallel connected speakers. and will double the impedance (from 8 to 16 Ohm, which is still within the specifications of the Sonos Amp.
Audioflow has an app where you can easily switch zones on/off/on via your phone.
Audioflow is compatible with Rithum (plug-in required), where you can add buttons for switching in the scene screen.
Furthermore, Audioflow has expressed a preference to be fully compatible with FIBARO. This text will be updated as soon as it is available.
Also compatible with ELAN, Control4 and RTI and has a fully described API.
